The best UX ideas and experiments from BFM+, straight into your inbox
Hey 👋,
For the first time in a while, the most popular UX Bites of the last few weeks have all been from some unlikely suspects.
It goes to show; you never know where your next experiment or idea will come from.
Notebooks at the ready? Let’s go.
1. Framing a free benefit
At the end of HackerNoon's free email, you'll get a reminder of how many 'free minutes' of content you received.
This is fantastic framing.
2. You’re expecting?
When choosing your clothing size, Rent the Runway has an option for if you're pregnant.
Clicking on this link showers the screen in confetti, and then guides you on how to choose maternity sizes.
3. What you should be earning
Adzuna analyzes your CV to tell you how much you should be making.
It'll then show an “email my boss” button, with a link to that calculation.
4. Ask your parents to buy this
Aceable is an app to help you learn to drive.
Knowing that their target audience are usually under 18, and may not have their own credit card/purchasing power, they've added an “ask my parents to buy” button.
5. Investing is like a plant
The investing app Sarwa has a 'pet plant' to promote regular investing.
The plant stays healthy and continues to grow as long as you "water" it at least once a month by making a deposit into your investing account.
Plus, in the last few weeks I’ve curated ideas from Duolingo, Elevate, YouTube, Shop, Sky, Apple, Revolut, Goodreads, Cricbuzz, Apple Maps, Picture This, Google, Airbnb, Fiverr and more.
This email is just the most popular 5, but you can view them all here.
Redeem 6 months of Mobbin Pro
Incase you missed it, BFM+ subscribers can now redeem 6 months of Mobbin Pro for free (worth $120).
I have a pretty strict rule about discounts. You won’t ever see faux “25% off today only” deals.
This however, is a genuinely fantastic offer—as I use Mobbin myself weekly. I can’t recommend them enough.
Subscribe to BFM+ on either the annual or monthly plan, and get 6 months of free Mobbin immediately.
P.S., although the regular schedule is Tuesdays, I delayed this by a day because of the Easter weekend. I was trying to save your inbox.
And, as always, feel free to reply to this email. It’s great hearing from you.
