UX Bites #18 — Crumbl, Wiser & more... (FREE)

The best UX ideas and experiments from BFM, straight into your inbox

Hey 👋,

The sun finally came out in the UK, it was glorious.

So I sat outside, squinting at my MacBook screen, putting together the 5 most popular UX Bites from the last few weeks—and it’s a good one!

1. Remind me next month

After asking for a donation, The Guardian has an option to remind you next month—a subtle way of framing 'no', as a potential future commitment.

2. A live preview of cookies

Crumbl shows a live preview of all the cookies you’re ordering as you add them to your box, and then again during the checkout.

3. Overlaying videos in iOS

To help you configure permission settings, Amo opens a short video in multitasking mode, which then overlays the native iOS screen.

i.e., it’s a video showing which settings you need to turn on.

4. A fist bump

Instead of a 'continue' button, Opal has a fist bump to “solidify” your commitment to use the app.

5. Framing your progress

If you back out of reading a book before you’ve completed your daily reading goal, Wiser reminds you how close you are to completing it.

Plus, in the last few weeks I’ve curated ideas from Apple, Chuck, Duolingo, Sweepy, Microsoft Word, Clearspace, Amazon, Discord, Etsy, Atoms and more .

It’s been a mega few weeks, and you can view them all here.

A feed of fresh ideas

On both case studies, and UX Bites, you can filter by content that you’ve never seen before.

With BFM+, there are 500+ UX Bites, with more added daily.

As always, thanks for reading.

If you missed it, the latest case study (on Robinhood, and welcome incentives) came out last week—you can read it here.
