UX Bites #2 — Airbnb, Framer & more
The most popular UX Bites from the last 2 weeks.
Hey 👋,
It’s time for your fortnightly bitesized Built for Mars action.
Here are the 5 most popular 🍪 UX Bites from the last 2 weeks:
Airbnb: live chat to a super host
When signing up to become a host, Airbnb will offer to connect you via a live chat to another superhost.
i.e., instead of Airbnb employees answering your questions, it’ll be other hosts—it’s the ultimate social proof.
Google Maps: last available train
When navigating using public transport, Google will let you sort by the last available trains (or buses).
Figjam: jamming to the timer
You can turn on a timer and background audio when working in Figjam, (to help you focus). While the track is playing, this little record player spins too.
It’s delightful skeuomorphism.

Framer: you’re too zoomed out
If you zoom out of your artboard in Framer, and your content is there (but out of view), you'll see a reassuring message.
More often than you’d believe, I zoom out of a board in Figma, and for a brief moment, panic that I’ve somehow deleted everything.

Asana: project management made easy
Finally, another one for designers: pasting a Figma URL into an Asana task, will show a live and interactive preview of the board.
Well-defined and detailed tasks make it easier for developers to work on—and an interactive preview makes this Figma integration pretty seemless.
Was 5 not enough? There’s a growing archive of them right here:
